Donate to save the Human Rights Act

Please donate today to stop the Government ripping up our human rights.

For more than 20 years, the Human Rights Act has protected the rights of thousands of people, from the families of Hillsborough victims and military veterans to disabled people and survivors of violence against women and girls.

But now the Government wants to rip up the Human Rights Act and replace it with a so-called “British Bill of Rights”. All because they don’t think the checks and balances set up to limit state power and protect our rights should apply to them.

The Bill has been dubbed the “Rights Removal Bill” because it means more power for the Government and fewer rights for you.

Human rights are universal, they should not be contingent on who the Government of the day thinks deserves them.

It’s crucial we all stand up to this power grab and make it clear that we won’t tolerate the stripping away of our human rights.

Please donate to the Civil Liberties Trust today. Your donation will help Liberty brief policymakers, raise public awareness and build stronger coalitions with civil society to help defeat the toxic Rights Removal Bill.
